Homemade Swiffer Sweeper and Duster Covers

The dust-bunnies are multiplying in my house!  Laminate floor seems to attract these critters.  Sweeping just doesn't cut it!!  That's why I love my Swiffer Sweeper.  It always seems to pick up more dust and doesn't just move it around like my broom.
I decided to make some reusable Swiffer covers so I could mop up the snow and gunk carried in to my new mudroom and be able to do my "sweeping" and then just throw my covers in the washer and use them again.
They were really easy to make with just a little sewing.

I cut out an 11 inch x 5 1/2 inch piece of an old towel and two little 3 inch x 5 1/2 inch pieces.

 I pinned them and then sewed them right close to the edge of the material.

As you can see, they work perfectly...getting rid of those pesky dust-bunnies.

I came across a pattern for a Swiffer duster.  So while I was making my sweeper covers I threw together a few of these dusters as well.

They do their job and then you pull 'em off and pop 'em in the washer and dryer...ready to use again...SOOO Cool!!
