Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

I think my Mom makes the best Macaroni and Cheese. It gets requested for showers, parties, and pot lucks.  One of the reasons I love it...other than the deliciousness of it, is that it is a crock pot recipe.  You can put it in the crock pot and leave it for hours.  It will not heat up your kitchen during these sweltering days either. I made it for a birthday party a few weeks back so I took pictures so you could see how to make it.

First, I cook my pasta...I actually under cook it because it will finish cooking in the crock pot.
Next, I mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
I add the pasta last and mix well.

Then I spray my crock pot with cooking spray...VERY IMPORTANT for easier clean up!!
I just pour everything in the crock pot and cook on low for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
This is what it looks like when it's done.  It is so good!!

Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese
4 cups cooked pasta (Al Dente)
(I use a little more pasta...like a 12 oz box)
2 cans evaporated milk
5 eggs
1 teas. Salt
1 package powdered cheese from box of mac & cheese
6 cups shredded cheddar cheese (I like to use a couple cups of the extra sharp to give it more of a zip)
1 stick butter (melted)
½ teas pepper

Mix all ingredients together and cook in crock pot on low for 2 ½ to 3 hours.  Don't forget to spray your crock pot with cooking spray or line it with a crock pot liner or this will be a mess to clean up!!
The recipe says it serves about 12.  When I make this as an entree for my family of 6...it all gets eaten.

For the pictures above, I doubled this recipe.  It filled my whole crock pot...I used a 32 oz.  box of uncooked pasta and doubled everything else.  I cooked it for 3 hours on high.

Coffee Corner Revealed

Well, I finally finished my "coffee corner".  I didn't do anything major...just some little touches to spruce it up a bit.  I really like the addition of my coffee corner sign and the other odds and ends.
This is the "before" picture.
Here are the changes I made.
First, I hung my coffee corner sign.  I think it filled in the space perfectly.
Then I took a $.50 crate I got a ReStore and put it in the top of my cabinet.  This space is too big for what I'm using it for so the crate covered up some of the empty space.

I picked up this tea kettle at a garage sale for a dollar.  It matches my microwave and coffee maker.
I used scrapbook paper to cover my coffee can.
The basket on the counter is where I store and charge our cell phones.  It looked like this...
Then I spray painted it black.
What a difference a little paint will do!!
Now, with all the little changes...
This is my new Coffee Corner.
