Wednesday's What I Found - Super Easy Snowman Saw

Ok, I got these round sponges over the weekend with the strong desire to paint me some snowmen.
So, I was literally walking around the house this morning looking for something to paint snowmen on!!!  When I spotted these handsaws that I picked up at ReStore over the summer, I knew they would be perfect!

I dry-sponged (got the sponged wet with paint and then dabbed it off on paper) the entire saw giving it a snowy look.
Then I painted my snow mens' bodies.  These sponges make it really easy...although my first one turned out a little chubby...oh well, he'll fit right in around here!
After the paint dried, I took a paint pen and wrote my phrase..."Let it Snow".  You obviously could use whatever phrase you like...that's just the one that popped into my head.
Next, I gave the snowmen arms, buttons, and faces with permanent marker and then top coated it with a clear coat.
This didn't take anytime at all and will make a nice gift, I think.

I painted another one to have something on hand just in case I forgot someone on my list or maybe I'll keep it for myself.  It looks nice next to my toolbox!

Blessings,

  4. I love this project, makes me wanna go rummage through hubby's garage for things he isn't 'using' and pretty them up. Because he can still use them and well, I can practice this!

I'm a new follower. Check out my blog if you like too.

My Mama used to say, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
I'll add, "If you HAVE something nice to say, share generously."
